Lonehill remains one of the safest suburbs to live in South Africa.

Originally established in the 1970's, Lonehill was one of the wonderful open country areas with loads of trees, the Klein Jukskei River running through it and the famous Lonehill Koppie and nature reserve as its landmark. 

Today the area has retained its green-belt feel offering residents beautiful open parks and a magnificent dam area where they can enjoy family fun, picnics, dog-walking and a host of community-based events organised by the LRA such as the Saturday Park Run;  Mother's Day Picnic;  Movies in the Park; Spring Day Celebration; Carols by Candlelight Eve; A Winter Soup Drive and The Christmas Hamper Fund organised for the Guards that patrol Lonehill's streets.

Lonehill offers a wide choice of schools for all ages, a number of churches, the fabulous Lonehill Shopping Centre, quick access to Fourways Life Hospital in Cedar Ave and the world-class Fourways Mall.  Lonehill is well situated and close to Fourways, Sandton, Bryanston, Rivonia and has quick access to all highways and bi-ways.

The Lonehill Residents Association also ensures that all security activities i.e. Guard Patrols and Emergency/Security Vehicles, are monitored and coordinated from a dedicated Control Room at their offices in Concourse Crescent, utilizing a CCTV surveillance system. LRA also offers an Advanced Life Support Service at an affordable cost.
